a portrait photographer here.
I have been a Portrait Photographer
in Hawaii for over 30 years now, but I began my portrait
photography career right out of high school, the summer
of my senior year in California. I have always loved art, and
wanted to be a professional artist since I was in third grade!
I discovered photography in junior high school, and since people
have always been my favorite subjects, portrait photography
just seemed to be my natural calling.
While at first I learned photography
from library books, I took photography classes in high school,
and eventually studied with the New York Institute of Photography,
graduating in 1982.
As I said before, I've been a Hawaii
photographer for over 30 years. I started my Hawaii Portrait
Photography on Kauai in 1976, then on Maui,
the Big Island, Lanai and Molokai. For
the last 16 years as a Honolulu Portrait Photographer
I have specialized in creating fine Family Portraits,
Childrens Portraits, and Senior Portraits. So
while I've been trained in, and have a ton of experience in
commercial, wedding and event photography, people remain my
favorite to photograph, and Family
Portraits, Children
Portraits, and Senior
Portraits are what I'm passionate about!
Oh yes, I do have a studio, and
it comes in handy for Boudoir,
Maternity and Baby Portraits, (as well as
product photography), but I prefer creating portraits at a location
that has meaning for you. Simply because Hawaii provides the
most beautiful environment for portrait photography in
the world, and it adds to the overall personal value your Hawaii
